Your donations make a significant impact on the Alberta Equine Federation's ability to support our community in various crucial ways:

Equine Emergency Disaster Fund

• Impact: Helped equine owners during the 2013 flood and 2016 Fort McMurray fires.
• Future preparedness: AEF has reserved $50,000 for future disasters; but this isn’t enough to be sustainable.
• Why donate: Ensure readiness to assist Alberta's equines in emergencies.

Scholarships and Bursaries

• Impact: Supports students pursuing equine-related education.
• Why donate: Empower and help develop the next generation of equine professionals.

Trail Supporter Fund

• Impact: Develops and maintains equestrian trails across Alberta.
• Why donate:
  • Maintain and preserve trails. Keep trails safe, clear, and accessible.
  • Ensure land access. Support advocacy for equestrian access to public lands.
  • Sustainable development. Fund environmentally friendly trail improvements.
  • Build community. Promote responsible trail use through events and education.
  • Protect for the future. Help preserve trails for future generations to enjoy.

Youth Programming

• Impact: Provides critical funding for youth development programs, scholarships, and bursaries, ensuring the next generation of riders, equine professionals, and enthusiasts has access to the resources they need.
• Why donate: Your support will help grow the future of equestrian sport and foster the development of young riders, ensuring they have the skills and opportunities to thrive.

General Donations

• Impact: Supports essential programs and services for all members.
• Why donate: Contribute to the health and well-being of Alberta's equines and equestrians.

How to Donate

Your support is both easy and deeply appreciated!

Donations of $50 or more (tax receipt available)

To receive a tax receipt for donations of $50 or more, please make your donation through the Government of Alberta. Here’s how:

Donate online:

• Donate online at the Government of Alberta's donation page.
• Select “equestrian” under Program type.
• Choose the relevant Activity type (e.g., athlete development, coach development, physical activity/recreation development, etc.).

Donate by cheque:

• Complete this form.
• Mail your cheque to the address provided.

Note: Receipts for donations through the Government of Alberta are typically issued within 6 to 8 weeks.

Direct donations to AEF (no tax receipt)
