Membership

As a registered non-profit organization, members are the core of our organization. We are responsible for providing accountability, trustworthiness, honesty, and openness to every person who has invested time, money, and faith into the organization. Thus, we are accountable to members, donors, founders, volunteers, program recipients, and the public community.

In the province of Alberta, we are the only Government-recognized equestrian non-profit organization.

Our membership has grown since we began in 1978. There are many reasons to have a membership: the insurance coverage that is included with an individual membership is crucial for anyone spending around horses; membership is required for participation in competitions; numerous boarding stables/facilities require membership, as do many provincial equestrian groups and clubs. As membership has grown, we have continued to grow the value of benefits to our members. We are so much more than “just insurance.”
