Free Advertising & Discounts

Many visitors come to us looking for specific businesses to shop with or which businesses offer discounts to AEF members. Your business membership comes with a free listing in our online directory and in each issue of Alberta Bits magazine. Businesses that choose the option to list discounts for AEF members are highlighted in Alberta Bits and online. If you would like to run a business ad in Alberta Bits, member businesses receive 30 per cent off regular advertising rates!

Having a sale or special event? As a member, your events are listed on our calendar of events (one of the most visited pages on our website).

Get featured in our E-News! Monthly news is sent to all members, four of our business members are randomly selected to be highlighted in each E-News.

Membership Verification

Many clubs require their members to have an AEF membership; often the Club Directors and Officials Liability Policy requires their members to have an AEF membership. Also, if an individual competes in a sanctioned horse show they must have a current AEF membership, and the show organizer needs to verify this information before the individual can participate. Either way, if your club or organization requires AEF membership, you can request access to membership verification and we will make it available by the click of your mouse.

Likewise, many businesses offer discounts to AEF members to encourage their business. If you choose to offer a discount to members, you can request access to membership verification and we will make it available by the click of your mouse.

Referral Credits

Refer brand new members to the AEF and receive a credit of $5 per referral. Credits go toward the cost of the next calendar year’s membership. To receive referral credits, the new member must submit your business name along with your AEF membership number when signing up. This is a great way to get a free membership!
