AEF Now Offering Continuing Education Funding

08.20.2024

The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for Continuing Education Funding, generously supported by Acera Insurance. This funding is designed to support the growth and development of our members across three key categories: instructors/coaches, horse owners, and individuals from underrepresented groups.

Whether looking to advance professional credentials, enhance knowledge of equine health and wellness, or expand opportunities within the equestrian community, this funding can help members achieve their goals.

Funding categories:

Instructors/coaches:
  • Purpose: To support instructors and coaches in obtaining or maintaining professional credentials.
  • Eligible activities: First aid training, NCCP modules, and other activities that contribute to Professional Development Points.
Horse owners:
  • Purpose: To help horse owners improve equine health and wellness.
  • Eligible activities: Educational courses such as equine first aid, equine massage, and equine nutrition.
Individuals from underrepresented groups:
  • Purpose: To provide equestrian-related educational opportunities for people in underrepresented communities, including those with disabilities, Indigenous people, newcomers to Canada, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
  • Eligible activities: Clinics, events, coaching sessions, and courses designed to enhance participation and success in equestrian sports.
