Rider application and auditor tickets
We are excited to announce a hunter/jumper Gait to Success clinic with renowned hunter. jumper, and equitation clinician Karen Healey. The clinic will be held at Horse in Hand Ranch, November 10 - 12, 2023.
Since forming Karen Healey Stables in California, Healey's students have won over 100 medal finals, including the 1990 ASPA Maclay National Finals and the USET Talent Search Finals 13 times between 1986 and 2013. She has also trained numerous champion hunters and jumpers. Her jumper riders earned medals at the NAYRC and the Prix de States, including three gold medalists. Healey is a certified USHJA trainer. She will work with AEF members on developing and improving their performance in the jumping ring.
In addition to demonstrating correct training through the hunter and jumper levels, this year’s Gait to Success will feature an interactive question and answer period with Healey each day, on-site shopping with a variety of vendors, as well as lunch, snacks, and beverages for all riders and auditors.
Those interested in riding in the clinic have until October 6 to apply. Once applications close, the selection committee will choose riders that demonstrate a variety of levels and abilities to create a diverse and progressive learning experience. Auditor tickets and rider applications can be found online at albertaequestrian-events.com/karen-healey.
The Gait to Success clinic series gives an opportunity for Alberta equestrians of all levels to enhance their riding skills with proven clinicians. Past clinics have played a significant role in supporting grassroots athletes and providing them access to upper-level training.
