AEF is committed to safe, respectful, and ethical sport environments. All Safe Sport concerns are managed through Alberta’s independent system, the Alberta Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism (ABSSCM), which ensures concerns are reviewed confidentially and independently from AEF.
All Safe Sport-related complaints must be submitted through the ABSSCM and are administered by ALIAS, Alberta’s Independent Third Party Mechanism (ITPM), with provincial coordination by the Alberta Sport Leadership Association (ASLA).

To ensure concerns are addressed fairly, consistently, and through the appropriate process, AEF uses clearly defined complaint and reporting pathways. Before submitting a concern, please review the information below.
Submitting a Complaint
Concerns related to potential violations of the AEF Member Code of Conduct & Ethics are managed through an independent third party to ensure objectivity and fairness.
All complaints must first be submitted through the Alberta Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism (ABSSCM), administered by ALIAS, Alberta’s Independent Third Party Mechanism (ITPM).
ALIAS will review complaints and determine jurisdiction.
