Club Membership
Club membership is available to any structured equine organizations/groups of a not-for-profit or charitable status that operates on a local, provincial, or national scope.
Base Cost: $78.75
Equine and Equestrian Clubs play an important role in Alberta’s equestrian community. AEF proudly supports Club Members by promoting their events and programs, connecting them to funding and resources, and amplifying their reach within Alberta’s provincial equestrian network.
- Annual membership is $78.75 + processing fees and expires December 31.

Club Funding
Available to club members for clinics and events that assist their members with professional or educational development, club board member educational development, or club facility improvements.
There are two application periods for funding.
- Applications are accepted between January 1 and April 30 of each year; successful applicants will be notified by May 31.
- Applications are accepted between June 1 and September 30 of each year; successful applicants will be notified by October 31.

Promotion & Visibility of Clubs
AEF Club Membership provides meaningful promotion to help equine and equestrian clubs increase awareness and participation across Alberta’s equestrian community.
- AEF Events Calendar – one of the most visited pages on the AEF website, highlighting club events
- AEF Club Directory – an online listing that helps attract new members and connect with the community
- Alberta Bits magazine – monthly club listings in print and digital editions, reaching over 16,000 readers
- AEF Electronic News – regular promotion to the equine community, with one or more clubs highlighted each month
- 20% discount on advertising in Alberta Bits Magazine
Membership Verification
Many clubs require their members to have an AEF individual membership; often the Club Directors and Officials Liability Policy requires this. Either way, if your club requires AEF membership, you can request access to membership verification and we will make it available by the click of your mouse.

Club Members are part of a province-wide network with ongoing access to AEF programs, services, and opportunities that help amplify the important work clubs do within the equestrian community.
