NCCP Online Video Evaluation – Spring Intake

The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) is pleased to offer a Spring Online Video Evaluation Intake for NCCP Instructor and Competition Coach certification in both English and Western disciplines.

This evaluation format allows candidates to complete their lesson evaluation remotely through video submission while meeting NCCP and Equestrian Canada standards.

How the Online Evaluation Process Works

The Video Evaluation process follows an approximately 12-week timeline from the initial pre-brief meeting to the final evaluation debrief.

Please read through all prerequisites carefully prior to registration to ensure they are met, or can be fully completed, before the evaluation date.

All candidates must meet the required certification prerequisites before the evaluation date.

Registration does not confirm eligibility. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure all requirements are fully completed.

NCCP Evaluation Registration Agreement

By registering for this NCCP Evaluation, you acknowledge that to proceed to evaluation you must have the following requirements fully completed prior to the evaluation date:

  • Active AEF membership (or membership in your home PTSO)
  • Required Rider Level certification for your discipline and certification being pursued (as outlined above)
  • Equestrian Canada Registered Coach Status (minimum), including:
    • Valid coach liability insurance
    • Completion of required EC online courses
    • Valid background screening
    • Current First Aid certification
  • NCCP Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation

Registration and payment of the evaluation fee does not confirm eligibility. It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure all prerequisites are complete prior to the evaluation date.

AEF maintains a strict no-refund policy for NCCP Evaluation registrations.

Online Video Evaluation Requirements

Candidates registering for the Online Video Evaluation must ensure they have access to the appropriate environment, equipment, and support required to complete the evaluation successfully.

This includes:

  • A safe and appropriate lesson environment

  • Suitable riders and horses for the certification level being evaluated

  • An individual available to operate the video camera

  • A device capable of recording clear video and audio

  • Reliable internet access for mandatory Zoom meetings and video submission

It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure all technical, environmental, and safety requirements are met prior to submission. Failure to meet these requirements may impact the evaluation process.
