Equine Emergency Disaster Fund

What it Does: Provides rapid support during disasters like the 2013 floods and subsequent forest fires.
Why It Matters: Alberta’s equines and their owners face increasing risks from wildfires, floods, and other emergencies.
Your Impact: This fund depends on community donations, your support ensures we’re ready to respond when it matters most.

Scholarships & Bursaries

What it Does: Supports students pursuing equine-related studies and careers.

Trail Supporter Fund

What it Does: Develops and maintains safe, accessible equestrian trails throughout Alberta.

Youth Programming

How to donate

Donate online to receive a tax receipt:

  • Donate online at the Government of Alberta’s donation page.
  • Donate by completing the donation form.
  • Select “equestrian” under Program type.
  • Choose the relevant Activity type (e.g., athlete development, coach development, physical activity/recreation development, etc.).
  • For donations of $50 or more

Note: Receipts for donations through the Government of Alberta are typically issued within 6 to 8 weeks.
