2026 AEF/EC Hunter/Jumper Stewards Clinic

An AEF and EC recognized clinic for aspiring and current Hunter/Jumper Stewards, offering certification pathways and professional development

The Alberta Equestrian Federation, in partnership with Equestrian Canada, is pleased to host the 2026 AEF/EC Hunter/Jumper Stewards Clinic at the AEF office in Calgary.

This clinic is designed for individuals seeking to become licensed Hunter/Jumper Stewards, as well as current officials looking to refresh their knowledge, maintain certification, or gain further professional development. Participants will review steward responsibilities, applicable AEF and EC rules, best practices in officiating, and expectations for working at EC and AEF sanctioned competitions.

The clinic also offers a limited, optional shadowing opportunity at the Spruce Meadows Winter Farewell and Spring Welcome Horse Shows, allowing participants to gain practical, hands-on experience under the guidance of Sue Hawes. Shadowing placements are limited and will be confirmed during the clinic.

This clinic supports the development of qualified officials within Alberta and provides a clear pathway for those wishing to progress within the EC and AEF officiating framework.
